For the first time in its 58-year history, Homearama will be held within Cincinnati’s city limits. This year’s show will take place at Walworth Junction, a 39-home luxury community nestled along the Ohio River. What was once a railroad hub connecting all parts of Cincinnati has become a community with both city and suburb amenities.
All 39 homes at Walworth Junction are walkable to Jeff Ruby’s Precinct, Eli’s BBQ, The Hi-Mark Bar, Allyn’s Cafe, Pearl’s, Streetside Brewery as well as countless other shops and businesses. The commu- nity also offers river and city views, lawn and landscape maintenance, a gated entrance and a park across the street. In the future, the developers plan to convert a nearby railroad line into an access path connecting downtown Cincinnati to the Little Miami bike path.
Several Walworth Junction properties will be on display at Homearama, including two sold homes from Sterling Homes, an award-
winning full-service firm that got its start in the Queen City. “What’s exciting is that this is the third Homearama that we’ve been involved in,” says Casey Longbottom, Sterling Homes’ project coordinator. “But the first time that we’ve had not one, but two sold homes.”
Each Sterling Homes client receives creativity and expertise when building their dream home, whether they’re taking a transitional, contemporary or traditional approach. The sold homes at Walworth Junction are no different. Lot 30 features a unique staircase, custom study and third-floor porch. Lot 35 offers an amazing retractable wall of glass doors that all but disappear to seamlessly blend the great room and veranda into one space. Both homes have elevators going up to the rooftop with panoramic views of the city. Each home has been uniquely designed to fit each customer’s personality.
“It’s a big deal to our team and to Sterling’s founder, Brad Olinger, to have Homearama right here in the neighborhood in which we started,” Longbottom says.
This year’s Homearama will take place from October 10 – 15 at Walworth Junction in Cincinnati’s East End. The event is ideal for anyone interested in architecture, interior and landscape design, as well as those who are looking to build or buy a home.
Sterling Homes is located at 347 Stanley Ave., Cincinnati, OH 45226.
