Greater Cincinnati has been fortunate to have Furniture Fair as a cornerstone of the tri-state. It isn’t just about Furniture Fair’s many options to decorate every room in your home, but the contributions it has made right back into the community. Furniture Fair has been an active part of the Cincinnati area for 60 years, and its impact on the local community has been remarkable.

This year will be their 15th year contributing to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society by hosting their annual Furniture Fair LLS Charity Golf Event. It brings together local businesses, news stations and furniture companies at a local golf course to raise funds for LLS.

“It’s a fun event!” says Craig Daniels, Marketing Director of Furniture Fair. “So far, we have been able to donate a total of 1.5 million dollars to fund life-saving research as well as provide patient access. Our end goal is to help LLS end blood cancers!”

LLS is only one of the organizations in the area that Furniture Fair supports. It is very active with the Anthony Muñoz Foundation, donating over $1 million to the organization since partnering with them in 2002.

“We are proud that our contributions to the Anthony Muñoz Foundation have helped local schools and groups send over 55,000 kids to its mentor programs this last decade,” Daniels says. “Our community is the heart and soul of our business, and we want to ensure that we support our community where we can.”

Furniture Fair also partners with New Life Furniture Bank, a Cincinnati organization that provides furniture to families and individuals in need due to poverty or other severe life challenges.

In December 2022, Furniture Fair participated in New Life Furniture Bank’s Design with a Heart program. Furniture Fair interior designers used pieces from the outlet and New Life Furniture Bank to furnish and decorate an entire home for a local family.

“We were ecstatic when New Life Furniture came to us with the opportunity to help make this house a home for this deserving family,“ Daniels says. “We are truly nothing without our community, so we are happy that New Life Furniture helps us bridge that gap between the community in need and us.”

Some of the other organizations that Furniture Fair is involved with include City Gospel Mission, the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, and the Children’s Home of Northern Kentucky.

This year, Furniture Fair will celebrate 60 years of being locally owned and operated in the Cincinnati area. There are 10 locations throughout the tri-state, and their corporate headquarters is located in Fairfield, Ohio.

It’s a long way from their humble beginnings in Erlanger, Kentucky. Founded by Robert “Bob” Daniels in 1963, the original showroom was only 7,000 square feet. But even then, the importance of family and community was a part of the Furniture Fair story. In fact, some of the employees at Furniture Fair have been there for over 25 years and beyond! Juda Yauger was the company’s first bookkeeper and is still with the company today, 60 years later, now with her daughter and granddaughter.

Every time you shop at Furniture Fair, you’re giving back to your community. Furniture Fair plans to keep that momentum going.

“We have big plans to give back to our customers and the community this spring to celebrate our 60th anniversary”, Daniels says.

Starting in March 2023, Furniture Fair plans to give away $60,000 in shopping sprees — a $1,000 spree a day for 60 days. “It’s easy!” Daniels says. “Just come into the store and register for the shopping spree. We want to give back to those who have supported Furniture Fair these last 60 years, and this is our way of saying thank you.”
