Furniture Fair: Lighting the Way

Furniture Fair describes itself as “delivering dreams and furnishing memories.”

And for six decades now, one of the area’s most trusted names in furniture has also been dedicated to improving the community.

“From the very beginning, Furniture Fair has always been focused on giving back to the local community,” says Marketing Director Craig Daniels. “Our community is the heart and soul of our business, and we want to support that community wherever we can.”

One way Furniture Fair has impacted the community is with an ongoing partnership with the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. LLS was founded in 1949 and has invested more than $1.5 billion in cutting-edge blood cancer research worldwide. The organization’s support has been instrumental in developing nearly every breakthrough in blood cancer treatment.

Over the past 15 years, Furniture Fair has hosted a charity golf event that has helped raise more than $1.5 million for LLS. “Progress has been made in cancer research, but we still have a lot of work to do,” says Bill Daniels, Furniture Fair President and CEO.

The next golf outing will take place on July 10 at Shaker Run Golf Club in Lebanon, Ohio.

The company was also a presenting partner of 2022’s Light the Night event in Cincinnati, Louisville and Dayton. During those events, families and individuals gathered to celebrate, honor and remember those touched by blood cancers. Participants carried illuminated lanterns together during walks to raise awareness and funds for LLS. Furniture Fair will be a presenting partner again this year on Oct. 6 at Yeatman’s Cove in Downtown Cincinnati.

“We’re extremely honored to help make a difference in the fight against blood cancers alongside our amazing partners at LLS,” says Bill Daniels.

Other nonprofit organizations that Furniture Fair supports include the Anthony Muñoz Foundation, City Gospel Mission, the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, New Life Furniture Bank, Volunteers of America and so many more.

“We’re proud to be involved with so many great local organizations,” Craig Daniels says. “As a company, we strive our best to ensure the areas we serve are a great place to call home.”

Furnishing Memories

Furniture Fair was founded in 1963 by Robert “Bob” Daniels, who selected the name to reflect his belief in offering quality home furnishings at fair prices with exemplary service.

“Those values still hold true today,” says Bill Daniels. “We call our service department the Customer Care Department — that’s how serious we are about making our customers happy.”

Craig Daniels stresses that Furniture Fair owes its success to a commitment to “quality furniture at fair prices” as well as their dedicated employees. Some employees have been part of the business for 60 years, and all help make Furniture Fair a trusted source of information on quality furniture and mattresses.

“It’s been the driving force behind our success for over six decades,” he says. “We source our furniture from the most reputable suppliers in the industry, ensuring that our customers receive furniture that looks great and is durable. We’re committed to providing furniture that our customers will cherish for years to come.”

Furniture Fair has several showrooms throughout Greater Cincinnati, Dayton, Northern Kentucky and Louisville. It also offers online shopping resources and experienced design specialists to ensure customers select the right furniture or mattress for their needs and budget. The Learning Center at Furniture Fair provides insight into industry trends and changes, keeping customers up to date on the latest trends.

Furniture Fair has become Greater Cincinnati’s go-to for nearly every aspect of home furnishing staples, from sectionals to mattresses, fire pits to barstools and decorative art to dressers.

Adds Craig Daniels, “As we celebrate our 60th anniversary, we want to thank our loyal customers for their support and trust over the years. Here’s to the next 60!”
